Andrew Ward RIP

Wardy
…. obviously terribly sad to hear about this, had been in touch with Alison, Chris, Becky and John,
most of whom made it to the service. Where they were joined by his family and a few old friends from Sawston. My favourite memory is of making a giant painting 10ftx15ft (think Jackson Pollock) for O-Level Art and putting cuttings of politicians/heads of state at the very bottom as if they alone were bearing the brunt of a post holocaustic earth (very Crass 1985)…it took weeks of wheeling bikes in it, mixing soil with oil paint, using rollers.. we had to cut it in half  to take it home – It was too depressing to be kept at school. Wardy loved doing it- in fact anything that involved being off the beaten track.
